Reworking another old canvas
Wednesday, February 06, 2008There's a point when an artist has a piece that she's kept for a while without showing it - that's when she knows it's ready to be reworked. I started on one today, going over it with the same technique as I used on "NPR Jumble" and "CW Jumble" (see the "Spheres and Circles" section under my portfolio). The technique is that I start painting words or phrases that jump out at me onto the canvas. Today it was a combination of a phone conversation with my husband and listening to the 100.3 station here in DC. I still have some work to do on it, but it's looking pretty nice!
